Music and Family!

Hey ya'll! AC Garbade here again! So I decided to interview my mom for this music and family blog and l learned a lot of new things  about her style of music and how it has developed over the years, so let's dive into that now. I asked my mom what she listened to as a child and she told me that she listened to "New kids on the block". I researched them and two of the members of the band were Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg which is super surprising and funny. I also asked my mom what she listened to in her late high school and into early college and she loved the old, classic country, specifically Patsy Cline and I absolutely love some of her songs. We both especially love the song "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. It is such a good piece of music, it is here below so that y'all can listen to this great piece of music.

Patsy Cline's music career was sadly cut short when she died in a plane crash in 1963 in Tennessee. So she could have had many more years and songs, such a tragedy that she died so young.

One of my moms favorite songs when I was younger was "The Lost Get Found" By Britt Nicole. My mom loved Britt Nicole as an artist all around, but this was one of her top picks from Britt Nicoles albums. Britt Nicole isn't as present anymore, but was a big christian artist in the early two thousands. I actually performed this very song in my first grade talent show, which is quite humorous. The music video of her song "The Lost Get Found" is below, so ya'll can take a listen.

My mom's favorite song today is "Gratitude" by Brandon Lake. She has this song on all the time and it is one of my favorites as well. As a family we mostly just listen to worship music. Brandon Lake is a newer worship singer and we listen to a lot of his songs, but "Gratitude" is probably our favorite. It is here below for ya'll to take a listen to.

Family means a lot to me! I would probably define family as my blood family, but also my church family. My immediate family is my mom, dad, and sister. I also am close to my aunts, uncles, and cousins as well. My church family means a lot to me, so I wanted to include them as well. They are always there if I need them!

  2. Hi AC! I love your blog and your meaning of family. I don’t think I’ve heard of Pasty Cline before, but I listened to the song you attached and I love her voice! It’s so sad that her music career had to get cut short due to her passing.
